Design issues will typically include, review of seabed conditions, seabed settlement and Support footprint, restraining the pipeline on Support, pipeline bearing surface on Support (e.g. low friction/high friction/low impact etc), pipelay tolerances, handling and installation of Supports, and design life requirements.
Full documentation and certification is provided as part of a SAC/SPS standard.
